Kim Guarino Bulger

Kim works as a virtual CMO (chief marketing officer) and marketing advisor to emerging and growth firms. She brings over 20 years experience in strategic marketing, branding and business development and has worked with numerous organizations from startups to Fortune 50 providing marketing strategy & planning, positioning & naming, strategic messaging, audience & competitive research and campaign management (advertising, collateral, direct response, event marketing, online marketing, publicity, social media, viral marketing). She understands the unique challenges of business-to-business marketing and branding service firms. She is passionate about helping her clients build brand preference and an integrated sales & marketing program. Her team has been recognized numerous times for producing exceptional ROI--including recognition at the American Marketing Association "M Awards" as Technology Marketer of the Year, Services Marketer of the Year, and Nonprofit Marketer of the Year.

She is an active community leader having served on the iCommunity, IncSpire and Business Alliance Advisory boards and a Top 20 Hot Momma, an innovative women's leadership program at George Washington University. She is a past president of the American Marketing Association, DC Chapter and AMA's 2007 National Leader of the Year. Previously, Kim has been a CMO for a branding agency, director of marketing for a trade association and television station, proposal & marketing manager for a government contractor and designer for the Air Force. Kim holds a MS in Marketing from Johns Hopkins University, BBA in Marketing from James Madison University and serves as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University teaching marketing and entrepreneurship.

Kim is passionate about entrepreneurship, boating, cooking and spending time with her husband Chip and son Cole.
